LIVERPOOL have received a big boost in the form of Thiago’s return to training.
The midfielder, 30, has spent the last seven weeks on the sidelines recovering from a sprain of his hip capsule, report The Athletic.
But he could be available for the FA Cup fourth-round clash with Cardiff this weekend after taking part in training this week.
Thiago’s return comes at a good time with The Reds facing a busy schedule.
Liverpool have three games in a week starting with the visit of Cardiff on Sunday before Leicester come to Anfield on Thursday – Jurgen Klopp then takes his side to Burnley the following Sunday.
A trip to Italy to take on Inter Milan in the Champions League after that means Liverpool face a number of mid-week matches.
Klopp will be grateful Thiago has returned as it allows him room for rotation.
Liverpool’s squad lacks the depth of Premier League title rivals Chelsea and Manchester City, which is one of the reasons why Klopp was delighted to land Luis Diaz in January.
