Evolution Gaming, the leading provider of Live Casino solutions, has announced that it has signed a strategic agreement with Golden Nugget, one of the most successful US online casino operators, and owner of premier casino resort destinations in Atlantic City, Las Vegas, Laughlin, Biloxi, and Lake Charles.

Golden Nugget, which pioneered the Live Dealer game category in the US, has been operating its own Live Studio, located in its namesake casino in Atlantic City, since 2016, powered by Ezugi.

The agreement will also see Golden Nugget’s existing online offering further enhanced in New Jersey, and potentially in other US states in the future, by adding Evolution’s US online Live Casino services.

Under the agreement, Golden Nugget’s online players will have access to unique Evolution game types such as Dream Catcher, Side Bet City, and Top Card, as well as other games from the Evolution portfolio. The Evolution games will be streamed live to players in New Jersey from Evolution’s own Live Casino studio in Atlantic City, or from the Golden Nugget Live Studio. They will appear as part of the extended Golden Nugget live games offering alongside Golden Nugget’s own Ezugi-powered Live Roulette, Blackjack, Unlimited Blackjack, Baccarat, Casino Hold’em, and Three Card Poker titles.

Further, the agreement extends to the Live Casino offerings of operators currently served by the Golden Nugget Live Casino studio in Atlantic City. They too will have the option to access selected Evolution Live Casino titles through their agreements with Golden Nugget. Those Golden Nugget partners for New Jersey currently include Betfair/FanDuel, Borgata, BetMGM, PartyCasino, BetAmerica, and Caesars.

Evolution and Golden Nugget have also stated that, as US online gaming legislation evolves, their companies will together explore opportunities in other US states.

Shrestha reportedly noted that some of these liabilities arose due to an earlier regime that saw the government grant gambling licenses to the host venues rather than to the actual operators of the slot parlors. He purportedly divulged that this led to numerous legal challenges and conflicting judgements as hotels argued that they should not have to pay for the privilege of accommodating such enterprises.

Direct deadline:

For its part and the online news domain at MyRepublica.NagarikNetwork.com used its own Thursday report into the matter to detail that the Nepalese government had recently collected almost $7.2 million in such licensing fees that it intends to put towards funding a variety of public programs. This source moreover revealed that the Department of Tourism had written to the offending venues to tell them that they would be permanently shuttered if they did not pay their outstanding debts within five days.

Civil castigation:

Khemraj Joshi serves as the Hotel and Casino Supervising Officer for the Department of Tourism and he reportedly stated that Nepal has eleven casinos situated inside five-star hotels and started the year with the same number of small slot parlors. Based on early information, an argument over gambling led to the shooting, Lt. Ralph Woolfolk, commander of APD’s homicide unit, told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution newspaper.

The case was being investigated as a homicide. Officers today were trying to “determine the circumstances” behind the shooting, APD said in an online statement.

APD cops first arrived at the crime scene, an apartment complex on Forrest Hills Drive, at about 5:30 am. The victim had already passed away.

Police Interview Witnesses

Three possible witnesses were located by officers at the apartment complex, WSB, a local TV station, reported. They were talking to officers today.

At least one handgun was seized by officers at the crime scene, the report adds. Officers found other evidence there, too. Police did not release further details on the crime.

Prior Georgia Crime

In an unrelated case, last year three men pled guilty in connection with an alleged illegal sports betting operation in Georgia.

One of the men, Grady Brandon Mobley, 44, of Waynesboro, Ga., was a “bookie” for at least 10 years. He was working out of the state’s Burke County, according to David H. Estes, Acting US Attorney for Southern Georgia.

Initially, Mobley allegedly collected wagers and paid out winnings on his own. Eventually, his operation involved a sports wagering online site, Estes said. It was operated from Costa Rica, Estes adds.

Mobley was sentenced to five years of probation and forfeited $340,084 after pleading guilty to prohibition of an illegal gambling business, and fraud and false statements, Estes said last August. Mobley must pay $207,716 in restitution to the IRS and Georgia Department of Revenue, and pay a fine of $2,000.
Two codefendants were sentenced after also pleading guilty to prohibition of an illegal gambling business. Daniel Cates, 40, also of Waynesboro, was sentenced to three years of probation, agreed to forfeit $100,000, and was fined $4,000. Joel Rees Jones, 59, of Greenwood, S.C, was sentenced to four years of probation and must pay a fine of $10,000.

With his long-running illegal gambling operations, Grady Mobley showed utter disregard for the law and compounded the activity by drawing others into his orbit,” Estes said in a statement released last August. “These sentences will hold them all accountable for their actions.”

More Businesses Involved

In 2015, the wagering operation merged with a smaller organization operated by Jones, prosecutors said. Between 2015 and 2017, Mobley allegedly cashed bettor’s checks totaling approximately $220,000 at his parents’ check cashing business, which operated out of the Mobley Package Shop in Girard, Ga.

Mobley was helped by Cates. He told authorities he sent about $250,000 in gambling proceeds through his Waynesboro tire store, Cates Firestone, prosecutors add. He was paid cash and given other favors for the arrangement, prosecutors said.

Mobley’s greed continued to grow over the years as he operated his illegal gambling operation, eventually recruiting other individuals to take part,” Chris Hacker, special agent in charge of the FBI Atlanta office, said in a statement. “Their greed eventually caught up with them and now they will suffer the consequences.”

Flees From Lot

He then fled from the scene. O’Brien was arrested Saturday night at a Pahrump residence.

He was booked at the Nye County Detention Center. O’Brien is now facing a charge of open murder. The case will be prosecuted in local court in Nevada.

Before getting apprehended, O’Brien contacted various people in an attempt to get a ride out of Pahrump, deputies said. Sheriff’s deputies also searched his residence for possible evidence.

O’Brien was arrested by deputies from the Nye County Sheriff’s Office. They were assisted by the US Marshal’s Regional Task Force and Nevada Highway Patrol troopers.

Pahrump Nugget is located some 63 miles west of Las Vegas.

It is owned and operated by Golden Entertainment.

Dotty’s Casino Hit and Run

In an unrelated incident, a man accused of running over a Dotty’s casino manager appeared in Las Vegas court this week. Samuel Schmid, 28, was charged with open murder for the crime during an appearance on Tuesday.

On Monday, he failed to show up despite being in custody at the Clark County Detention Center. That led a judge to order him brought to court, adding the ominous “by any means necessary.”

On Tuesday, the judge appointed a public defender to represent Schmid. Schmid will continue to be held without bail.

His next court date is on June 2. He has yet to enter a plea on his charges. Beyond the murder count, they include robbery, battery, and conspiracy, the Associated Press reported.

Schmid was arrested on May 16 in Desert Hot Springs, Calif. in connection with the death of Alicia Gibellina, 60, at the Las Vegas gaming venue. He was extradited back to Nevada on Friday.

The May 11 incident took place at Flamingo Road and Jones Boulevard in the unincorporated community of Spring Valley, Nev. He allegedly robbed a pocketbook from a player inside the Dotty’s gaming venue.

He then fled to a Mercedes SUV in the shopping center’s parking lot. Gibellina followed him into the lot.
She went up to the SUV to confront him. Schmid, who was inside the vehicle, displayed a firearm.

Gibellina then backed away and moved behind the SUV. The vehicle suddenly went into reverse and ran her over. She was seriously injured and later died. The SUV fled the area.
